Respect, Recharge, and Reconnect

The 2023 OEA Summer Leadership Academy will convene Wednesday, June 21, 2023, through Friday, June 23, 2023, at the DoubleTree Columbus-Worthington Hotel, 175 Hutchinson Ave., Columbus, OH 43235. This conference is designed to help members at all levels of the association realize and develop skills and talents as leaders of their profession and their association, while building relationships and organizing for power.
The 2023 conference theme is: RESPECT, RECHARGE, AND RECONNECT. The conference will feature exciting speakers, networking opportunities, and over 30 breakout sessions that will provide learning experiences to support leadership development in the following areas of the NEA Leadership Competency Framework:

- Governance and Leadership
- Leading Our Professions
- Organizing
- Social and Emotional Intelligence
- Strategy and Fiscal Health

Public Education Matters: An Important Conversation
The 2023 OEA Summer Leadership Academy will conclude with uplifting insights from two education leaders. OEA President, Scott DiMauro and long-time educator and entrepreneur, Jim Mahoney, Ph.D., will discuss their experiences and observations centered on the vitally important role Ohio’s public schools play in supporting the success of students, communities, and the future. Don’t miss the closing session and the opportunity to cheer for educators, students, and Ohio’s Public Schools.
